Buying a home in Karachi from abroad: a step-by-step guide

24 September 20262 min readBy the Naeem Dhanani team

Living in the UAE, UK or USA? Here is how overseas Pakistanis can choose, book and pay for a home in Karachi without travelling.

Many of our buyers live outside Pakistan. They want a home for their parents, a place to return to, or a secure long-term investment, and they want to do it without taking leave to fly home. The good news is that the whole process can be completed from abroad.

1. Start with a virtual visit

Book a live video call with our team. We walk you through the site, the show apartment and the neighbourhood, and answer your questions in real time, at a time that suits your time zone.

2. Choose and reserve your home

Once you have chosen a project and apartment type, we share the floor plan and payment plan. Your booking is confirmed with the token or down payment for that project.

3. Share your documents

  • A copy of your NICOP, POC or CNIC
  • A copy of your valid passport
  • Passport-size photographs
  • Proof of your address abroad
  • Details of a nominee or next of kin

If someone in Pakistan will sign on your behalf, a Special Power of Attorney attested by the Pakistani embassy or consulate is required. Our team will confirm the exact list for your case.

4. Pay through your bank

Send every payment through official banking channels directly to the company account, and keep your bank’s remittance receipt. Each payment is acknowledged with an official receipt from our accounts office.

5. Follow the build and collect your keys

We share regular progress updates and photos. At handover you can collect the keys yourself or through your authorised representative.

Distance should not decide whether you own a home in your own city.
